By day, I’m a published writer, producing smash hits such as “The Top 7 Metrics for Claims Litigation” — okay, I’m a product marketing manager for a living — and by night, I’m a fantasy author working on multiple projects.
My books are inspired by a childhood spent watching kung fu movies, Toshiro Mifune’s swagger, a splash of Hayao Miyazaki, and a love of fun, smart, and complex female characters who appreciate a good dessert.
I’m an Illinois transplant living in Houston. I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and will live and die an ILLINI, y’all.
My favorite genres are fantasy and sci fi, with a special bent towards comic books, which I’ve collected since 1984.
The name is pronounced exactly how it’s spelled: Vod-var-ka. I know, the two ‘V’s can be a bit daunting.
